Yvonne Brady

Staff

Yvonne, our receptionist, has been with us since 2007 and has established a friendly and familiar rapport with our clients, firm families, couriers, and anyone who might walk through our door or call our office. When not on the phone or greeting clients, she keeps very busy with numerous tasks necessary to keep the office organized and running smoothly.


Celeste Charland

Staff

Celeste has been working with Hopkinson & Abbondanza since December 2006, as an assistant to Rick Abbondanza and Jim Hopkinson in the Estate Planning department. Celeste comes to us from a local title company where she was the Closing Coordinator for two years. She grew up and continues to reside in Biddeford, Maine with her family.

Christine Dubois

Staff

Christine joined our Bath office in August 2018 as a Closing Processor and Legal Assistant. Prior to joining Hopkinson & Abbondanza, P.A. she managed the Processing Department of an area title company and brings her varied skills in real estate transactions. In addition, she is known for her customer service skills which are an asset in both our Bath and Portland Offices. When outside of work, Christine enjoys her cooking club, exercising at Zumba, and spending time with her extended group of family and friends.


Sarah Koerner

Staff

Sarah has been with the firm since August 2018, as the firm’s corporate paralegal.   She also assists with real estate matters and serves as a notary public. She received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2009 from Kaplan University. She comes to us after working 7 years at the Cumberland County Courthouse in the Criminal Department. She resides in Springvale, Maine with her Husband and their 4 children


 

Diane Jackson

Staff

Diane Jackson has worked with us as a paralegal since 2003. In addition to handling the residential real estate work for the office, she is also the Bath office coordinator. Diane graduated from Andover College in 1994 where she received her Associates in Applied Science, majoring in Paralegal Studies with a concentration in Accounting. She has attained certification with the National Association of Legal Assistants, Certified Legal Assistant Program upon successful completion of national comprehensive two-day examination which included: Verbal and written communication skills, judgement and analytical abilities, ethics, human relations, legal terminology, legal research, substantive law and procedural law. Diane has, for the past twenty years, focused on: Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration and Business Organizations, with a primary focus in Real Estate. She has been a Notary Public since 1997. In her spare time, Diane enjoys going to camp, riding ATV's, Dune Buggy's, Harley's, visiting Florida and spending time with family and friends.


Pamela Kemp

Staff

Pamela Boudreau Kemp comes to Hopkinson & Abbondanza after 24 years in corporate and agency marketing. Pam was a founding and managing partner at Kemp Goldberg Partners Advertising and Public Relations agency for over nine years, and before that a senior account manager at Perry Banks Kemp Advertising for ten years.

At KGP, Pam supervised operations in the production, human resource, finance and administrative departments. She developed all agency policy, developed timelines and budgets and oversaw process improvement and implementation of all agency functions.

Prior to her 19-year agency tenure, Pam was a designer and production manager at Hannaford Bros. Co., in-house advertising department in Scarborough, Maine.

As Office Manager for Hopkinson and Abbondanza, Pam brings her business experience to manage the banking, receivables, payables, billing, payroll and 401K-plan functions, as well as human resources.

She is also responsible for working with the company IT providers and managing all other vendor relationships. Pam served on the board of the Portland Harbor Museum and is an honors graduate of the University of Southern Maine. Her personal interests include hiking, kayaking, gardening, traveling, painting, her husband, two wonderful children and two rescue dogs!


Jacqueline Kennagh

Staff

Jacki, our Real Estate Title Examiner researches real estate for our residential, commercial and litigation departments.

She graduated from Husson University in 1993, and joined the firm in September 1998.
 


Elaine Orser

Staff

Elaine is a 1988 graduate of Newbury College with an Associates Degree in Accounting and also received her Paralegal Certificate from Becker College in 2000. She has worked at law firms as a paralegal in both Massachusetts and Maine, and held positions as Bookkeeper at other companies. She resides in Moody Beach, Maine with her husband. She enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time at the beach with her extended family.


Chelsea Pottle

Staff

Chelsea has been with the firm since January 2013, as an assistant to Jim Hopkinson and Rick Abbondanza in the estate planning department.   She also assists with real estate and corporate matters and serves as a notary public. Chelsea was born and raised in Southport, Maine and currently resides in Standish with her son, Ryder.
 


Lauren Thacker

Staff

Lauren joined us in December of 2016 as a Legal Assistant. She is a 2016 graduate from Wheaton College (MA) with a B.A. in European History and a minor in Sociology. While at Wheaton, she worked in her school’s Archival Library and studied abroad in Athens, Greece, where she gained an interest in research and law.
 


Catherine Abbondanza

Staff

Catherine is responsible for opening and maintaining our real estate files, ordering mortgage loan inspections, and doing whatever else is needed to assist our real estate processors and title abstractors. She also serves as a notary public. Catherine has been employed with Hopkinson & Abbondanza since 2020.
 


Macey Roberge

Staff

Macey joined Hopkinson & Abbondanza in June 2021 when she moved to Maine from New Hampshire. Macey works in the firm’s Probate and Trust Administrative department. Macey is equipped with a sharp mind to address a variety of estate concerns.


Matthew Cavanagh

Staff

Matthew “Matt” Cavanagh joined our team in early January 2022 as our Client Coordinator.  In this role, Matthew will act as a liaison between the clients and attorneys.  Throughout the entire estate planning process, he will ensure that you always have the opportunity to speak with one of our attorneys and that all of your needs are met.  Outside of the office, Matt enjoys cooking, reading, and nature.  Having grown up down the block from the beach, Matt feels most at home near the water.


Suzi Chappelow

Staff

Suzi joined the Bath office in January 2022 as an Estate Planning Legal Assistant.  Prior to joining Hopkinson & Abbondanza, she was a real estate/litigation paralegal at a local law firm, and brings 23 years of experience in the legal field from working at firms in Vermont and the Washington, D.C. area.  Outside of the office, Suzi enjoys walking in the Bath area in anticipation of rescuing dogs in the near future.  She resides in Bath with her husband and youngest child.


Meredith Bielec

Staff

Meredith joined the firm in 2022 as a legal assistant in the Estate Planning department, working in our Portland office. She grew up in Erie, PA and lived and worked in the New York City area for 12 years before moving to Portland, ME in 2015. Outside of the office, she enjoys spirituality, sci-fi and fantasy, good food, and spending time with her husband and friends.


Adam Euster

Staff

Adam joined the firm in 2022 as a real estate paralegal, working in our Bath office. His enthusiasm and care towards our clients shows in the work her performs.
