November 21, 2024 – Fraud Alert regarding annual reports
We would like to alert our clients to a scam being attempted on individuals who are owners of membership interests in limited liability companies or corporations. You may have received a letter in the mail which offers to file annual reports on your behalf for a $210 fee. The misleading solicitation form is from an organization identified as C.F.S. This mailing did not come from our office, nor did it come from the Secretary of State. If you received such a letter, you should not reach out or send any money to C.F.S. The 2025 annual report cannot be filed, as it is not available until January 2025. We will receive your annual report fees from the Secretary of State’s office and will invoice you to file your annual report per usual, in either mid-January or early February.
