Zahava Bennett joined Hopkinson and Abbondanza in 2026, and she is dedicated to helping families and business owners protect what matters most. Her practice focuses on estate planning, real estate law, and business law, where she provides practical legal guidance tailored to each client’s unique goals and circumstances, helping them navigate important legal decisions so that they can protect their assets, businesses, and legacies.

With more than fifteen years of legal experience and a professional background deeply rooted in title examination, real estate transactions, and property law, Zahava brings a unique perspective to helping clients plan for the future and protect what they have worked hard to build. She understands that legal matters often involve significant personal, financial, and family considerations, and she is committed to providing clear, thoughtful counsel tailored to each client’s goals.

Clients value Zahava’s approachable manner, attention to detail, and dedication to building trusted relationships. She believes effective legal representation begins with understanding each client’s unique circumstances and providing practical solutions that protect today while planning for the future.

In her role at Hopkinson and Abbondanza, Zahava works with individuals and families to develop comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. She also helps clients create strategies that preserve assets, provide for loved ones, and ensure their wishes are carried out for future generations. Zahava also advises entrepreneurs and business owners on a variety of legal matters, from entity formation and contract review to business succession planning.

Prior to focusing on estate planning and business law, Zahava served as a Title Attorney and Title Opinion Team Lead for a national law firm, overseeing complex real estate matters and title examinations. She also practiced oil and gas title law, energy law and environmental law, giving her a strong foundation in property rights, regulatory compliance, and legal research.

Zahava earned her Juris Doctor from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University and was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania in 2009. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Allegheny College.

Zahava and her husband, Matthew, moved to Maine from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2024, along with their cats. Both are avid hikers and cyclists. Zahava has quickly found her happy place in “Vacationland” and enjoys spending her free time exploring the art, history, food, culture, and natural beauty of her new home.
